Integrated Jury Solutions, LLC (“IJS,” “we,” “us”) respects the privacy of the courts we serve, the jurors who use our platform, and the visitors to this website. This policy explains what information we handle and how we protect it.
1. Scope of this policy
This policy covers two very different kinds of information: (a) the court and juror data processed within our EmpanelJMS platform on behalf of our court customers, and (b) the limited information collected when you visit this public website or contact us. These are treated differently, as described below.
2. Court and juror data (customer data)
When a court licenses EmpanelJMS, jury records — which may include juror names, dates of birth, addresses, contact details, questionnaire responses, and attendance information — are processed within the platform. For this data:
- The court is the owner and controller of the data. IJS processes it solely to provide the platform and related services under our agreement with the court.
- We do not use juror data for our own marketing, and we do not sell it.
- Where a court uses EmpanelJMS to send SMS/text messages to jurors, IJS processes the mobile phone numbers and related messaging information on behalf of the court solely as necessary to provide the court-authorized messaging service.
- Our handling of this data is governed by our written agreement with each court and by the security measures described in our Security & Trust page.
- Jurors with questions about their own records should contact the court that summoned them; the court, not IJS, administers juror determinations and record requests.
3. Information collected through this website
This is a static informational website. The only personal information we receive through it is what you choose to send us, for example, when you submit the contact or demo-request form or email us directly. That may include your name, organization, email address, and the content of your message.
Standard web-server logs may record technical information such as IP address and browser type for security and reliability purposes. We do not use this information to build advertising profiles.
4. How we use information
We use website-submitted information to respond to your inquiry, provide requested demonstrations or materials, and communicate with you about our services. We use server-log information to operate and protect the site.
5. Disclosure and sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information: to service providers that support our operations under confidentiality obligations; to comply with law, legal process, or lawful government requests; and to protect the rights, safety, and security of IJS, our customers, and others. Court and juror data is disclosed only as directed by the court or as required by law.
6. How we protect information
We maintain a written information-security program with administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including multi-factor authentication for administrative and remote access, encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls, monitoring, backups, and incident response. See our Security & Trust page for detail. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Retention
We retain website inquiry information for as long as needed to respond and for reasonable business and legal purposes. Court and juror data is retained and disposed of according to our agreement with the court and applicable records-retention requirements.
8. Your choices and rights
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information you have submitted through this website by contacting us at the address below. For juror records held within a court’s EmpanelJMS system, please contact the relevant court, which controls that data.
We do not sell or share personal information
Integrated Jury Solutions does not sell personal information, and does not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are used in the California Consumer Privacy Act. We have never done so and have no business reason to.
Because nothing is sold or shared, there is no opt-out for us to offer, and you will not find a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link on this site. Its absence reflects the practice, not an omission.
This website sets no cookies, loads no third-party analytics, and runs no advertising or tracking technology of any kind. Nothing about your visit is transmitted to a third party. Global Privacy Control signals therefore require no processing on our part: there is no sale or sharing for such a signal to stop.
Rights under state privacy laws
Residents of California, and of other states with comparable privacy legislation, may request access to the personal information we hold about them, request its correction or deletion, and ask what has been disclosed and to whom. We honour these requests regardless of where you live, rather than only where a statute compels it.
To make a request, email privacy@integratedjurysolutions.com or use the contact details in section 12. We will acknowledge your request and respond within the timeframe the applicable law requires, and we will not treat you differently for having made one.
In practice the personal information we hold about a website visitor is limited: what you typed into the contact form, and standard web server logs. We are not able to identify individual visitors beyond that.
9. SMS and Text Messaging
Integrated Jury Solutions may use SMS/text messaging to provide account, security, application, and service-related communications to users of EmpanelJMS. Depending on the services enabled for an account, messages may include multi-factor authentication codes, account or application notifications, daily summaries, alerts, and other service-related communications.
- Participating courts and jurisdictions may also use EmpanelJMS to send SMS/text communications to jurors regarding jury service. In those instances, the applicable court or jurisdiction determines the recipients, content, timing, and purpose of those communications. Integrated Jury Solutions provides the technology used to facilitate those communications and processes the related information on behalf of the applicable court or jurisdiction.
- Message frequency varies depending on the services enabled, account activity, and communications authorized by the applicable court or jurisdiction. Message and data rates may apply.
- Integrated Jury Solutions does not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in information, or messaging consent information with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We may provide mobile phone numbers and related information to service providers as necessary to deliver authorized SMS communications and operate the EmpanelJMS service, subject to applicable contractual and confidentiality obligations.
- Where SMS messaging is optional, users may opt out of SMS communications by replying STOP to a message. For assistance, reply HELP or contact Integrated Jury Solutions or the applicable court, as appropriate. Opting out of optional SMS communications does not affect the user's ability to use EmpanelJMS, except where SMS messaging is necessary for a specific security or authentication feature selected by the user.
- Where SMS consent is collected through EmpanelJMS, the consent is requested separately from acceptance of the applicable Terms of Use and Privacy Policy and is not required as a condition of using EmpanelJMS.
10. Children’s information
This website is intended for courts and business users and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date above.
